Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan is more commonly known as Salt Lake Stadium.
Major Dhyan Chand National Stadium was earlier known as National Stadium and renamed in 2002.
Wankhede Stadium is named after Shri S.K. Wankhede, a politician and the secretary of the Mumbai Cricket Association with whose initiative the stadium was built.
Arun Jaitley Cricket Stadium was earlier known as Feroz Shah Kotla Stadium and built in 1883. It was renamed in 2019.
MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai is named after the former President of BCCI. The stadium is also known as Chepauk.
